Paul Basile is a designer and master fabricator whose work is defined by innovation, craftsmanship, and material experimentation. With a background shaped by four generations of builders and a lifelong fascination with architecture and design, Paul launched BASILE Studio in 1994.
His signature style marries raw, natural materials with custom fabrication techniques, bringing industrial boldness to refined spaces. Known for pushing boundaries and reimagining the use of metal, wood, and glass, Paul’s work remains ever-evolving.

With over 30 years in the design world, Jules Wilson brings a multidisciplinary lens shaped by interior design, architectural history, and industrial design. Her education included time in Florence, where European art, architecture and film left a lasting impression that continues to influence her work.
Her design philosophy is grounded in bold elegance and sensory depth, integrating movement, light, and materiality into each space. Jules is known for creating emotionally resonant environments that embody her clients’ stories.

Castle Ferreira is a residential landmark nearly a decade in the making — a modern-day homage to 1850s Portugal set high above Mission Bay. Crafted using over 700,000 pounds of Portuguese limestone and traditional masonry techniques, the four-building compound encircles a European-style plaza and features flying buttresses, hidden passageways, and 220° panoramic views. With meticulous architectural detailing and immersive storytelling, the project embodies the scale, materiality, and narrative depth championed by Basile + Wilson.

Born & Raised is a 10,000-square-foot steakhouse that reimagines old-world grandeur through a distinctly modern lens. Basile Studio led the complete transformation of the 1930s-era structure, fabricating every surface and detail—from parquet and terrazzo floors to custom tambour paneling and camel leather booths. A ceiling of book-matched walnut veneer, sourced from a single Northern California tree, anchors the space in precision and craft. The project reflects the level of material innovation and architectural ambition that defines the Basile + Wilson partnership.
